In 2013 the former COO of MeesPierson Fund Services and MD of TMF-Custom House Fund Services, Mr. Robert Vennegoor founded IMP Professionals. Soon thereafter he was joined by Mr Kees Tiebout, a recognized IT expert in the investment management industry.

Approach
IMP Professionals attributes its knowledge and skills to its clients. To begin with, it prepares a plan with the client on forehand and identifies and commits deliverables and deadlines. Truly transparent. Each 2-4 weeks we discuss with the client. Allowing the client to stay in control.
Occasionally we adhere to the COSO II method, a successful model for the management and control of more complex projects. In case of system development and management we typically apply the PRINCE-2 and ITIL management methods.
IMP Professionals operates independently from any investment manager or prime broker. It adheres to its Conflict of interests policy regarding the timely notification, the management and the early disclosure of (possible) conflicts of interests. IMP Professionals operates in compliance with the prevailing legal and regulatory requirements. The Conflict of interests policy as well as the Terms & conditions of IMP Professionals will be disclosed and explained to the Client, prior to any engagement.
Who we are
IMP Professionals was established in 2013. It is successful in providing specialist solutions and interim management services to the investment management industry and to pension plans managers.
The core staff of IMP Professionals includes Robert Vennegoor and Kees Tiebout, the managing partners. Robert Vennegoor is an investment management professional, Kees Tiebout is ICT expert in the investment management industry. At MeesPierson, the former top merchant and private bank they had a very successful cooperation for many years, starting 16 years ago.
If and when required we source and attribute other industry experts to accomplish an integrated solution, under our responsibility.
Robert Vennegoor
Managing partner
MSc (born: 1962) has a vast experience as project manager and held executive management positions in the investment management industry. Robert has structured many investment funds and was responsible for the administrative management and oversight of over 170 investment funds. Besides that, he successfully managed redesigns of back offices and turn arounds of business lines.
Robert has an in-depth knowledge of the regulatory environment and financial legislation and their operational impact and is recognized for that.
He holds university degrees in organisation sciences and corporate finance. Besides that, he holds all theory degrees as investment advisor and pension advisor.
In 2013 Robert founded IMP Professionals.
Kees Tiebout
Partner
BSc (born: 1963) has managed comprehensive projects for the investment management industry that targeted the renewal of application software and system architectures. Kees held (senior) management and executive management positions in the ICT field of the investment management industry.
His absolute strength is his capability to understand and translate investment management requirements into (smart) ICT solutions, including software selection, Implementation, IT operations and smart outsourcing.
Kees holds a bachelor degree in informatics. He originally is a computer system architect and information manager.
In 2014 Kees joined IMP Professionals.

- Implementation of new European legislation in the back offices of 2 depositaries of in total approx. 140 investment funds.
- Structuring of 3rd party fund management solutions for non-EU fund managers.

RE-DESIGN OF MID AND BACK OFFICES

- Implementation of ISAE 3402 (SAS70) internal control standards and ISO 9001 / ISO 27001 IT security standards.
- Computer system selections and implementations for hedge fund administration incl the design and implementation of workflow, document and data management systems.
- Management of dozens of software development projects.
OUTSOURCING AND SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS
- Consultancy and management of outsourcing projects with respect to the IT systems management.
- The daily supervision a/o 3rd party administration of 170 multi asset class investment funds with a total net asset value of EUR 20-22 bn
- Consultancy and co-management of outsourcing projects / selection of 3rd party services providers and banks / migration of operational activities.
- Analysis and intermediation at M&A opportunities in the industry.
- Design and execution of due diligence investigations at
- 2 mid-sized back office services providers,
- 6 prime brokers,
- 6 fund managers.
- Review and selection of global custodian / migration of EUR 1.9 bn in assets.
- Orderly liquidation of a Paris-based broker/dealer (73 FTEs).
